Our History

In early 1995 dedicated members of the Stony Brook, Setauket, Centereach, Mt. Sinai, Port Jefferson and Wading River Fire Departments took a rigorous 40 plus hour high angle rope and confined space rescue course at the Nassau County Fire Academy. Each agency agreed to a written joint mutual aid agreement and began building an equipment cache.
