Long Island Rescue, Inc. presented a Special EMS Class, "Technical Rescue Patient Packaging" , for the Miller Place Fire Dept. EMS Company on June 8th, 2006.

20 members learned and practiced using webbing, stokes basket, diamond lashing, hasty harness, diaper harness, LSP half back. The EMS members were introduced to the special packaging considerations and learned what to expect to find when receiving a patient at a Technical Rescue incident.

This also familiarized the members of techniques that can be applied to daily EMS incidents as well.
